Project: Naming the SkyDome


Objective:
To name the world's first major sports and entertainment stadium with a fully retractable roof, truly one of the wonders of the modern world.

The challenge was to come up with a short, memorable name that captured the essence of this grand facility with its distinguishing feature being a fully retractable roof.

Solution: We were pleased to be one of the creators of the original SkyDome name which is short, memorable and, most importantly, evokes the purpose of the remarkable retractable roof, namely to open the stadium/Dome to the Sky and heavens (weather permitting, of course).

Objective: Find a name that is not found in the dictionary (ie a coined word) that is suggestive of the wide range of unique services offered by the firm and reflective of the versatility of their people.

Solution: From the root word “dexterity” we quickly came up with several possible names, one of which was “Adexta”. The new company's tagline is “Strategic Execution” in which can also be seen the “ex” from Adexta. New Managing Director of Adexta said of the naming process: “Can't think of anything that could have gone better and I'd refer BrandAbility all day long if I could”.

     
     
     

Project: "It's Toronto Time!"

Objective: To create a new slogan reflecting the resurgence of the City of Toronto, its hopes and aspirations and all the great things the City has to offer.

Client: Royal Canadian Mint

Project: In addition to making money for Canada and other countries, the Royal Canadian Mint also sells collector coin sets, coin jewellery and artwork through various distributors. The Mint asked us to create a title for its retailer product catalogue reflecting the beauty and grandeur of its Canadian-themed coinage products.

Solution: We created the title Canadian Treasures attesting to the majesty of the various famous Canadian scenes depicted on the coins, and reflecting the great value of the Royal Canadian Mint's coin collectables and gifts.





     
 



Client: Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club

Project: Leafs Fan Club, the Buds Club, looking for cool slogan.

Solution: Our winning submission Growing with the Leafs was chosen from hundreds submitted from all over the globe. Our memorable slogan "sums up what the Buds Club is all about," according to the Club.

 


 



Client: Healthways Fitness and Nutrition Inc.

Project: New health care company specializing in educating clients about healthy diet, exercise and lifestyle practices needed a memorable corporate name that reflected its mission and all its specialties.

Solution: We created the name Healthways to show our client knew, and could teach its customers, the different 'ways' to achieve good health.

Project: Eureka, a leader in Computer Graphics Training, needed a tagline for its new advertising campaign.

Solution: We came up with the branding concept of using different colourful hats to represent the different types of courses being offered by Eureka. We created the slogan "For all the hats you wear..." to say that Eureka offers all the courses you require, and Eureka recognizes that you have many different roles at work, but we can help!
