Summary of the Passage from Luke 10:1-28

Over the weekend, I met a man named Peter holding a sign in a Walmart parking lot. I offered him the homeless kit, food and prayer, and he smiled and came to my car. He immediately put on the John 8:12 bracelet from the kit. Peter, originally from California and headed to Georgia, shared his story, his faith, and even offered me one of his donuts. After I prayed with him, he had tears in his eyes and said it had been a long time since someone had prayed for him. Before we parted, Peter gave me a cross he made from foil and twine, saying God brought us together that morning, and I’ll keep it in my car as a reminder of our powerful encounter.

Giving out a homeless kit was one of the most humbling and meaningful experiences I've had. It was incredible to see how something so simple could bring such joy and comfort to someone in need. The gratitude in their eyes and the genuine connection we shared reminded me of the power of kindness. It wasn't just about meeting physical needs—it was about offering hope and dignity. I’ll never forget the impact that small act of love had, both on them and on me.

On our way home, my daughter saw a homeless man with his dog and immediately reminded me about the homeless kits we had taken out of the car days before. All my to-do list items faded as we rushed home to fill a bag with snacks, water, a blanket, and dog food. We caught up to him just as he was crossing into a convenience store parking lot, heading to his safe place for the night. My daughter proudly handed him the supplies, and he smiled warmly, thanking us as we prayed for him. As we drove away, we watched him lay the blanket down for his dog and begin looking through the bag, and both of us felt a deep, peaceful sense of purpose.
